Sterling Flight Training Airline Career Open House

There has never been a better time to pursue a career in the airline industry. Overall the industry is expecting unprecedented growth, and a high demand for pilots and aviation technicians.

Sterling’s in-house training programs and university-affiliated programs offer flexible training options for students to choose the path that works best for them. Depending on how often a student flies and retains the required training, they could complete the program with a degree in as little as three years.

So, what does that mean for those dreaming of a life in the skies?

According to Boeing’s Pilot and Technician Outlook, 790,000 new pilots will be needed worldwide by 2037.

  • The average pilot salary is $111,800.

  • It is not uncommon for pilots to receive up to 14 days off per month.

  • Pilots enjoy extensive travel benefits and get to see the world.

  • Not your normal 9-5 routine; everyday can be different.

  • High school students can begin accumulating flight hours while still in school.

  • While a formal degree is not required, students can reduce the number of required flight hours (1500) needed by as much as 500 hours if they hold a bachelor’s degree or by 250 hours if they hold an associate degree. The degrees can be achieved while training through Sterling’s university affiliates.

To learn more about this career option, we are inviting students and their families to attend an open house at our school on March 21, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Join us to meet pilots, tour our facility and aircraft and even enjoy a few minutes in our simulators.

More information on this and aviation careers can be found here, including a letter to send to parents. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

To RSVP for the open house please visit SterlingFlight.com/openhouse.
