James V. Brooks Memorial Music Scholarship

James V. Brooks is a native of Jacksonville, Fl, a graduate of Bethune Cookman College and Florida State University and a pillar in the Duval County music community. His impact throughout the community is treasured by the many students and musicians he had the pleasure of teaching and/or sharing his gift of music. To continue his legacy, his sister, Shirley Bing, established a scholarship to further encourage and keep music alive in his honor.
