Chartwells and Thompson Hospitality Scholarship

Duval County Public Schools Nutrition Department and Chartwells K12 School Dining Services/Thompson Hospitality are offering two scholarship opportunities for graduating DCPS seniors.


The submission deadline for both scholarships is April 13, and students can send in their applications and essays via email to Kelsey.Tomaselli@compass-usa.com.


CHARTWELLS SCHOLARSHIP We are offering a one-time $2,000 scholarship to 18 Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue on to post-secondary education, including colleges, universities, technical or trade schools. Eligibility: This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2020. There will be 18 winners district-wide who will receive a one-time $2,000 scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education. Requirements: • Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a college, university, technical or trade school • Submit a copy of official high school transcript • Submit completed application • Submit one of two essays (1,000 words or less)

THOMPSON HOSPITALITY HBCU MEAL PLAN SCHOLARSHIP We are offering a one-year meal plan scholarship to five Duval County Public School seniors who plan to continue their education at a historically black college and university with food service provided by Thompson Hospitality. Eligibility: This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will graduate from a Duval County public high school in spring 2020. Five winners will receive a one-year meal plan scholarship to be applied towards their post-secondary education at a historically black college and university.

Requirements: • Acceptance letter/proof of enrollment into a historically black college and university (only eligible schools will be accepted)

• Submit a copy of official high school transcript, 2.5 GPA or above

• Submit completed application

• Submit essay (1,000 words or less)
